Sleepless, Falling
March 12, 2004

I keep falling. At 5:15 this morning, in the blistering cold, the lights turned red in front of me. For a second I thought I could make it across, flexed my muscles, but quickly changed my mind when the headlights approached the intersection, fast.
“He’s not going to stop,” I thought, and clutched my breaks, bike quivering beneath me.
And in a startled second I found myself on the ground. The right knee makes a funny sound when it smashes against the ground. Or maybe it wasn’t the knee, but something inside me that whimpered. Roads are icy on March mornings.
It’s not often that I sprawl in the middle of the road at 5:15 in the morning, but I was exhausted. I spent the previous five hours finishing up my proposal for ClubLaurier. The beast spans 40 pages and I still didn’t manage to convey everything I wanted — 10,000 word of nothingness.
But it’s done! Thankfully. I got up at 8:30 to print it off, and now that’s handed in I can shower and get some sleep. And you can go ahead and read the whole monstrosity of a proposal here (PDF 1.09 mb). I was going to write an executive summary, but platforms are more fun without one. And don’t expect to get a lot out of the conclusion either — I slapped it on at the last moment and it contains nothing useful whatsoever.

Posted by: Tudor on March 14, 2004 at 07:45 PMTudor, I really hope you spell checked before you printed… because there are mistakes in the pdf ;)
Posted by: Craig on March 16, 2004 at 11:55 AMDue to the silly 12:00 deadline, I didn’t have time to proof-read the platform (or to add a decent conclusion / executive summary). Feel free to use a red pen to underline mistakes ;).
