Sedated in Sarnia on Day Three
July 24, 2004

The following is a transcript of notes made in Alysia’s backyard on July 17, the third day of my trip:
It’s wonderful to wake up to the sight of waves after hearing them roar all night long in Alysia’s backyard. I walked on the beach in the morning thinking of how constipated I felt — I haven’t taken a shit since leaving K-W three days ago.
Despite my walk down the beach picking up pretty stones carved out by the waves, I’ve been feeling particularly sedated since reaching Sarnia. I sleep over 12 hours per day but I barely have enough energy to get up in the morning. Poor nutrition is probably to blame — I feel ravenous most of the time and the nuts just aren’t doing it for me anymore.
I’m sorry for the loss of my creative focus — not even a trip through downtown Sarnia could revive it.
