e-Biz Bullshit
November 03, 2004
When I found out that the e-Biz club was running a website showcase, I eagerly submitted my site only to have my enthusiasm crushed by the following message:
Due to the nudity on your blog we cannot feature it in the showcase. This has to do with school regulations and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that.
Eat dick, e-biz. Thank you for reminding me that Laurier, like other pathetically narrow-minded institutions, doesn’t believe in freedom of expression: nudity and art are frowned upon. I’m appalled that school regulations are used to marginalized discourses of the body. For an instant I mistakenly believed that I was in an environment that encouraged students to explore new dimensions of the world and of themselves.
I don’t appreciate censorship: consequently, for the next two weeks this blog will feature a lot more of my naked ass.
Posted by Tudor at 07:59 PM in Various Positions | TrackBackTudor, you’ve got the school all wrong. In your initial anger at being rejected you’ve gone off half-cocked, shouting and preaching and stirring up revolution with false statements.
“Nudity and art is frowned upon.”
Bah! Here at Laurier, nudity and art ARE frowned upon.
Posted by: regan on November 03, 2004 at 08:14 PMTrue — my initial anger ravaged my grammar. Sentence now fixed.
Posted by: Tudor on November 03, 2004 at 09:31 PMyou need to embrace the dual colour blandness that I used to create haiku-do. They let that in hahaha
Posted by: sra on November 03, 2004 at 10:01 PMTudor, you should take that to Marilyn Jacobs, the harrassment and discrimination coordinator. They’re marginalizing artistic expression. I will fight with you. You should also go to the Fine Arts department about it.

Seriously, you should post lots and lots more nudity. It truly is the only way. Like doing what you can to say orgasm over and over when people disparage the initial usage.
Posted by: mace on November 04, 2004 at 09:41 AMOh, for sure, go to Fine Arts and fight the good fight. I mean, what’s the worst they could do? Cancel the program!? HA! already done.
Posted by: Ikabod on November 04, 2004 at 05:46 PMI’d like to see this supposed regulation…
Posted by: Jason on November 05, 2004 at 12:54 PMI’m pretty sure they pulled that regulation line out of their ass. There’s only one way to deal with this nonsense. I’ll show up at their event. Naked.
