Gifts
December 20, 2004

Dave, who writes pacifist poems on his blog, was excited this morning when he walked into the Student Pubs office and said, “I got you a Christmas present.” From his pocket emerged a little black button he pilfered from somewhere. “I’m not a role model,” it said. Indeed.
“This is just perfect,” I said, pricking myself repeatedly as I tried to attach the button to my shirt. In return for his gift I showed him how to make snowflakes online. “I made some pretty orgasmic ones last year,” I said.
My objections to Chrismas are being eroded one wonderful gift at a time.
