  • I kissed her on the fifth floor of the library among tales of pain, torture, and glory. We were drunk, and the chronicles of human suffering aroused us.
  • I jabbed Stacey with a small, plastic sword.
  • I drank with Stacey and laughed with Stacey, and when I got up from the bar I could barely walk.
  • I received one anonymous Valentine with lipstick on it, two rubber hearts, and three melted swords.
  • I melted slightly when I saw Red’s nipples — people are beautiful.

Thank you, lovely Helen! I suspected it was you when I saw those luscious lips on the cover :). Few people have lips as lovely as yours.

Your card made my day!

well now…. i anxiously await the others reactions……
i came up with the idea when my VIRGO sister, sent me a valentine with 3 extra blank ones and i sent them to old friends in niagara but instead of writing from helen… why not a kiss…. that marks me territory just as well… i ended up buying more valentines and sending them to long lost friends….we shall see oh we shall see…
im glad i made your day. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE MAKE THEIR DAY EVERYDAY!!!!!
now lets go eat pasta!

Good for you! I am glad you & L will be having a happy Valentine’s Day! (Even though I don’t know you) I guess you had to go through the heartbreak with what’s-her-name so you could meet someone new and exciting. (You know, the old cliche, “when one door closes, blah-blah-blah…”) Good Luck! JG

Thanks for the warm words, Jules — you rock. But unfortunately, Laura and I are cynical fucks and hate V-Day. Instead, we’re celebrating the International Disappearance day (Jimmy Hoffa’s birthday) by … umm … disappearing for a day.

And Martha is heartbreakingly exciting — I hope she’s having a good V-Day too.

I am a cynical fuck too, but I still like VD because of the initials.

I guess that’s good that you still have warm feelings towards Martha, vs. being bitter.
