Word on the Street
March 31, 2005
Since I’m not above spreading rumours, here’s your daily doze of gossip:
1. The Dean of Science was determined to expel me two years ago after I exposed a security flaw in the OneCard system. His determination was triggered by my cheeky attitude when confronted about my exploits. Instead of shutting my mouth, I started flailing my arms and calling people names. As it turns out, OneCard Nick, my nemesis that year, was a decent guy.
2. Laurier might open a School of Education in September 2006, which is not surprising since the B-dot campus already offers a highly successful teachers’ education program. Since I might have to re-apply to Teacher’s College next year, there’s a chance I’ll be back at Laurier for a record 7th. Unfortunately, I’m not too sure Laurier wants me back (see above).
Posted by Tudor at 10:55 PM in Various Positions | TrackBackWoa—having been somewhat invovled in the OneCard office … incident … let me see if I get this straight.
First off, you are saying that OneCard Nick is actually a decent guy?
Secondly, the Dean of Science tried to expell you? I know that you were advised to talk to the Dean of Students, but I didn’t know that the Dean of Science was invovled. Why didn’t I hear about this? He was invovled, and wanted to actually kick you out?
Damn.
And when did you find out that OneCard Nick was a Decent Guy (TM)?

And there are things I didn’t know until now …
Posted by: Tudor on April 01, 2005 at 11:44 PMLaurier may not want you back, but campus wont be as odd without you around.
