Coincidences
April 28, 2005
I read a few blogs this morning (while pills made my ears ring) and saw patterns and meaning emerge. It’s funny how lives intersect:
Item 1. Some wonderful people shared a moment of musical intensity this Tuesday — I feel left out of the loop. Sherry, Regan, Carly, Clemens, Trevor, Amy, and Dave wound up at the same Arcade Fire concert. Carly was “exhausted from the sheer joy of it all.” Music connects everything.
Item 2. Sherry, Regan and I will have our wisdom teeth yanked from our faces in the next few weeks — we’ll be a toothless triumvirate of pain. More people are welcome to jump on the tooth-extraction bandwagon, but then we won’t be able to be a triumvirate anymore.
Item 3. Everyone is getting new puppies and kittens (or trying to). Suddenly, I want a puppy too.

Posted by: karen on April 29, 2005 at 01:12 AMI thought you were trying to connect nothing with nothing (!), silly - and you can play with my puppy dog anytime you’d like (she likes your ass stroking) :) …and that wasn’t meant to be sexual, but errr…ah well.
Posted by: Laura on April 29, 2005 at 09:12 AMThey found a cat in the ductwork at work. We’re trying to find a home for it, so if you want a cat….I know where you can get one.
Posted by: CaptainPoultry on April 29, 2005 at 10:04 AMMy girlfriend and I were looking for kitties at the humane society yesterday. Too cute..
Posted by: Dave on April 29, 2005 at 12:15 PMI have SEVERAL cats and dogs you can play with- permanently. Oh, nevermind, I’m drunk.
Posted by: jules on April 30, 2005 at 02:35 AMIs there any sort of psychological disorder where one is willing to undergo extreme pain in order to fit in? Unfortunately, I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 14, so I will not be able to fit in. I will take comfort in my cheek hole, created by the extraction of my wisdom teeth, which holds various food particles, and could hold pill(s) if I’m ever properly diagnosed for my psychological dis(array?)order.
Posted by: Alysia on April 30, 2005 at 02:05 PMIf you only had your wisdom teeth removed, that still leaves you with over 30 *other* teeth that can be yanked from your jaw. you can still join our bandwagon of pain and joy.
Oh, and Friday, May 13 is the day they’re fixing me up.
And no, no cats.
Posted by: Tudor on May 01, 2005 at 02:30 AMPuppies! Oddly enough, the breeder is in Kitchener. I will be coming down to pick her up in a week and a half.
My two favorite suggestions for her name are:
1. Here comes the drizzle.
2. God bless your cotton socks.
I’m sure that she will tell me her name then.
Posted by: Meghann on May 08, 2005 at 05:35 PMKitchener? Oh man, can I come take puppy pictures of God Bless My(?) Cotton Socks?
Posted by: Tudor on May 09, 2005 at 08:28 PMAbsolutely. I’ll email the time and the place…or perhaps we’ll pick you (and Laura?) up and we can go see the doggies!!
