It’s What’s On Tap
August 19, 2005
Because I knew few of the people at Opal’s house cooling party, I quietly snuck into her bathroom to take pictures of her taps. I’m shy like that, and her bathroom is a thing of beauty.
“It’s the only room in the house I wish I could actually take with me when I move out,” she told me.
So there I was, on my knees, adjusting settings and turning on water taps when a strange fellow walked in.
“Ahem,” I said. “I was in the middle of something.”
“But I have to pee.”
“Go right ahead,” I said.
He just stood there, expecting me to do something.
“You know, I’ve taken pictures of urine before,” I wanted to tell him. But I didn’t; I just put on my lens cap and closed the bathroom door behind me. There was no sense in alarming Opal’s friends.

Posted by: Mark on August 20, 2005 at 12:36 AMYou can take pictures of me urinating any day!!!
And that’s saying quite a bit, because I have the shiest (<—-!! Are you seeing this shit?! Apparently it can be ‘shyest’ or ‘shiest’. The key is imagining it being pronounced ‘SHISTE’!!) bladder in the world.

Apparently, this sort of random “huh?” moment happens to Jason all the time. Go figure :)
Posted by: Opal on August 20, 2005 at 06:40 AMI wonder who that was. Heh. Sorry I missed all of you guys last night. Hopefully next time.
Posted by: martin on August 20, 2005 at 12:23 PMBryan, if you ever have to go (and end up in my city), make sure to give me a call. I’d usually pay to photograph something like that, but in your case (because of your shy bladder), that won’t be necessary.
