A Collage From A Nearby Place
September 09, 2005
“London is pretty on a sunny day,” Erin said when she came by one afternoon to show us the city. We believed her because she makes awesome handbags in her spare time. She also grew up in London and knows all the best places to buy books and milkshakes.
We eagerly followed her down Richmond Street that hot afternoon, Laura and I smelling of too much tenderness. And when we were too sweaty to go on, Erin took us to a cozy diner where we ate plates full of fries and milkshakes. We returned home hours later with our bellies full, and slept naked for the rest of the day, with the setting sun creeping through the blinds over our bodies.
At sunset, Laura’s bedroom is a place of mystery, magic.
Posted by Tudor at 01:52 PM in Here & There | TrackBackI am interested in seeing the handbags - I have a handbag fetish. Did you take any photos?
I like the polaroid-looking-collage-thingy. How did you do that?
Posted by: jules on September 09, 2005 at 06:16 PMBelieve it or not, Erin has a whole website dedicated to her craft. Go there to see the things she makes with her hands. I was considering buying a man purse from her …
And I’m glad you like the collage — I grew tired of my usual way of doing things (boxes). So I created the collage in photoshop and then used ImageReady to define an image map on top of that. Image maps are hot!

Posted by: jules on September 10, 2005 at 04:59 PMhahha, you and Laura were smelling of much tenderness and I was smelling of the stinky! London makes me smell bad. And you should totally order a man bag. And I’m not just saying that because I like money. How did the photos of the cardboard door turn out?
