The Mitten Bunny
October 23, 2005
Sometimes I come back from work flushed with excitement.
“Laura! Laura! I learned something new today,” I said feeling knowledge rush through my veins like a strange liquid.
“About modem lights?” She asked mildly amused.
“No. About mitten bunnies,” I said, proceeding to put on my left mitten and flipping the other one inside out to create a bunny-like creature. “I’m the mitten bunny,” I continued in a deep voice. “I’m the cutest thing ever.”
And eager to show the mitten bunny to all, I ran out of the room to find Sherry sitting on the steps. I showed her my mittens and she shook her head in disbelief.
“Where exactly do you work again?” Sherry asked.
“Mitten bunnies are not the only thing we learn about,” I assured her. “Sometimes we play with LEGO blocks. I made a bird-crane today: a super powerful combination of bird and crane that reached several feet into the air.”
Oh, the joys of technical support.
