Is this the story of Johnny Rotten?

April 20, 2006

Jason and Dan watched with incredulity as I jumped into the murky water beneath the railway bridge as quickly as I could. The ducks were startled and my shoes got wet, but I couldn’t afford to waste any time — this was a photoroam and I was running out of batteries. I only managed to take a couple of shots of absolute filth before I had to crawl out again covered in slime — the smell eventually got to me too. The bridge is where things crawl to die.

But the journey beneath the bridge wasn’t in vain — I managed to rip out an iron nut that showed up again, and again, and again throughout the rest of our adventures in the park.

Naturally, the adventures in question involved more filth, ugliness, and a decidedly sublime Jason Shim. In the spring, parks are full of wonderful things.
