Gone Canoeing

May 06, 2006

Rivers. Water. Eight hours of canoeing. And now it feels as though my arms are trying to separate from the rest of my body.

More soon.

I guess it is a good thing I am only planning to take a 2 hour trip. Weren’t you concerned about taking your camera to the water?

Right on!! Where did you go?

One time, two of my friends and I set out on a canoe trip. We thought it would be half an hour, an hour at the absolute most. 6 and a half hours later we paddled into Perth, sunburnt, smelly and having encountered a few too many black rat snakes. It was awesome though.

hehehe … yeah Carly, ours was one of *those* adventures too. The whole trip was supposed to take four hours in good weather. However, I think we were in the boat (getting both burned and freezing in turns) for over eight hours.

it was crazy.

spindriftdancer, we went down the Maitland — it’s a lovely (and surprisingly unpolluted) river.

deaner, I have no fears! when I saw a chance to take my expensive camera in dangerous places I jumped at it … hehehe.
