War is Peace

One bottle of gasoline: $3.76
A dozen matches: $0.05
57 toy soldiers: $2.30

All this added up to raging flames of pure pretty when my Visionary Friend and I set our childhood dreams on fire. For an hour we held our faces close to the flames, inhaling deeply. We got so high on burnt soldier fumes that on the way home we stumbled in the empty fields, barely able to stop giggling.

“This must be the cheapest way to get a buzz,” he said.

I didn’t know what to say in reply because everything spun. Colours. Visions. Soon, our feet no longer touched the ground and we remembered flames and the agony of molden plastic.

The photos came out fantastic!

who knew toy soldiers could be soooooooo awesomely photographed. I think this is the best you’ve done so far, Tudor…minus the bird that looks like it’s painted. Seriously, wow.
