My Visionary Friend and I get some of our best ideas when we’re hanging out in our underwear.

“I want a sword,” he said.

“Swords are pretty cool,” I agreed.

We followed this train of thought to its completion, and an hour later we walked out of The House of Knifes armed with a sleek, Japanese sword that quivered with hormones. We took the sword to the edge of town and strove in the twilight to destroy the suburbs.
