Invade New Spaces. Be Free.

September 15, 2006

The girl and I found an apartment on the edge of town. It’s not much — just a tiny place with freshly painted walls and a rusty balcony. But this weekend we’re moving in and furnishing the empty rooms with love.

However, since my love is hard, pointy, and less comfortable to sit on than say, a chair, we’ll also have to bring in dusty sofas, luxurious armchairs filled with memories, coffee tables stained with coffee rings and tears, and all those items that turn barren walls into a home.

That said, until we get telephone lines connected and internet accounts set up, we’ll be a bit disconnected from the world. Which, come to think of it, might not be such a bad thing :).

CONGRATS! I wish I was you. I wish I wasn’t living with my parents. I will offer you this advice: don’t fight over paint colours, and Listen to Laura. Also, enjoy every room.

Congrats, the both of you! A place all your own is a very good thing indeed. Enjoy it!

aw, that’s saucy! Congratulations and best of luck!

Note: As a point of courtesy and being a gracious host, it is generally best to offer one’s guests seats on the sofa or available chairs, not on your hard, pointy love.
