Coffee Project: exploring the limits of awkwardness
July 25, 2009
So far the coffee project was a dizzying swirl of awkward and awesome. We sipped hot liquids delicately, shot coffee through our noses, witnessed dog fights, told stories about porcelain, saw flashes of light, cameras, action.
Steph summed it up well:
There was so much awkward. I felt restricted by the coffee because I was afraid of spilling it on the white paper floor or choking on it when I took a sip or dribbling it down my face or something silly. I also felt awkward trying to carry on a conversation with you while you were taking pictures of me…. And then there there were the two dogs playing and Jason’s voyeurism (which I didn’t mind so much, it just added to the awkward)
So yes, the whole experience is a whole lot of awkward and awesome. But everyone looks glamorous, as you can see from the shots taken so far.
I would love to shoot a dozen more portraits before the end of the summer. So if you’re around KW with nothing to do, let me know and we can totally hook up for coffee. Whee!

I would come, but I’m *very* uncomfortable in front of the camera. Besides, I’d wreck your bell-curve and insist on tea… ;p
